From Creslane Principal Ryan Beck:
What is WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students)?
WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) is a father involvement and educational initiative sponsored by the National Center for Fathering.
What are the goals of a WATCH D.O.G.S. program?
1) To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
2) To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.
We are looking for dads to assist with before-school car and bus duty (7:30-8:00), lunch recess duty from 11:00-1:00) and after-school car and bus duty (1:50-2:15). Watch D.O.G.S. volunteers are asked to commit to a 30-minute time slot in any of the three times of need for at least one day a week. If you are interested in learning more about what role you can serve in Creslane’s Watch D.O.G.S. program please contact me at email@example.com or at 541-895-6140.
If you would like to volunteer at Creslane for programs like Watch D.O.G.S. you will need to fill out a background check. Once you fill out the “Criminal History Verification” form we will keep it on file for five years. You can stop by the Creslane office to pick up the background check form. I encourage all of you to fill out the “Criminal History Verification” form in case you want to participate in a class field trip with your child or if you want to volunteer in your child’s classroom or in our school.
