“I wasn’t born, so much as I fell out…” -The Clash
Originally born in New York, I lived in Port Washington on Long Island for the first 14 years of my life. I went to Main Street School for elementary, in a 6 story building that had cornerstones that dated back to the 1890’s. The school was originally k-college, but now houses offices.
I moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina for High School and went to college in Wilmington, NC. I majored in Speech Communication and when I graduated, I moved to Oregon. I worked here for many years cooking in restaurants before I started working with kids.
I finally went to the U of O and got my Master’s Degree and Teaching License. I was married for 13 years and have 2 children: Sadie is 13 and Nora is 10.
I have been teaching special education for 15 years and have taught at Briggs Middle School, Roosevelt Middle School, Oakridge and McKenzie Middle and High Schools before settling in here at Creswell.
