Current Goals

The School Board sets goals annually for itself and the district; review the current goals:

  1. To align entire district as one educational unit.
  2. To increase the percentages of district students meeting and exceeding Oregon State Assessment Standards.
  3. To continue to build visible community pride in Creswell Public Schools and all district staff, the school district will increase its engagement in the Creswell community through expanded communications, collaboration, recognition, and involvement opportunities.
  4. To increase the number of students who graduate from CHS, prepared and motivated for college, technical training opportunities, and employment.
  5. To keep the district budget aligned to support district goals, while keeping student achievement as top priority.

Board members are elected from the district at large to serve four-year terms.

Board elections occur in May of each odd numbered year. The next election for board members will be in 2013.

To be eligible for election to the board, a person must be a registered voter in the school district, and have been a resident of the district for one year immediately preceding the election. Board members serve without pay. The term of office for board members begins on July 1 immediately following the election.
