Hi and Welcome to my classroom website. Here is some information to get to know me.
I was born in Boise ID but spent most of my adolescent years in Salem, which I claim as my “Home Town”. Though my parents divorced when I was in the 3rd grade, my sister and I were fortunate that they put us first over their differences.
I attended North Salem High School where I lettered in 5 sports and was named the Student Athlete of the Year. After high school I attended University of Hawaii to play tennis but came back after one year to play basketball at Lane Community College. After Attending Lane I finished earning my degree in Anthropology at the University of Oregon and then earned my Masters in Teaching at Pacific University:
I began my student teaching here at Creswell High in the fall of 2010. The next year I was in the building as a sub before I was hired in 2013 to teach Health, and Food and Nutrition. This is my fourth year at the high School were I teach a variety of classes: Health, Food and Nutrition, Computer Basics, Anthropology, Strength and Conditioning, Sports in History
I am very into sports and games. Most of my free time is spent playing, coaching or watching sports. I currently play city league basketball, volleyball and play as much golf in the summer as time permits.
I have been involved in some sort of coaching since I was in high school where I worked for the City of Salem. While attending the U of O I was a volunteer assistant for the Willamette Girls Tennis team and after graduating I joined the men’s basketball staff at Lane Community College where I have been for the last 8 years. I was also the Head Creswell Track Coach for 3 years.
I have been married for 6 years to my “Elkton Princess”. We have a beautiful daughter Hattie and 2 lovable dogs Neko and Roger.
