Thank you Northwest Community Credit Union!

Three mini-grants for education were recently awarded to Creswell School District staff.  These grants are part of Northwest Community Credit Union Project Community mini-grant‘s for education.

“The mini-grant process, from review of submissions, selection, and surprise presentations is so rewarding for our staff, and gives them an added insight into the needs and challenges of public education today. We are honored to be able to celebrate your teacher and help them create meaningful learning experiences for students.” – Kim Clark, Community Relations Coordinator, Northwest Community Credit Union

Music Instructor Sandi Green was awarded $1,150.00 for the music programs at Creswell High School and Creswell Middle School.

“A huge thanks to Northwest Community Credit Union!  We were just awarded a grant for $1,150 toward music theory books for the entire MS and HS programs. This will be such an enormous benefit to our amazing students. Thank you for seeing the power of music.” – Sandi Green

Second Grade Teacher Brandee Buehler at Creslane Elementary School was awarded $250.00.  She will be updating her classroom’s library with new books.

“The kids have loved having new books to read that they are interested in, and a more organized system to go along with them. The ladies surprised our class one day after lunch, and we were all ecstatic. What a wonderful experience!” – Brandee Buehler

Kindergarten Teacher Chemen Clearwaters at Creslane Elementary School was awarded $350.00. She will be purchasing traditional books and books on CD for a wider variety of materials that will help create life-long interest in reading.

“Those books will be used for our Daily 5 Reading Library, our Read At Home Program and also for kids just to enjoy when they’re finished with their work. I actaully had the students choose some of the books to order for our classroom.” – Chemen Clearwaters
