Air Quality Information

Wildfire smoke in our area is impacting our students’ outdoor activities. We are closely monitoring air quality and are in regular contact with local agencies during this wildfire season to help guide our decision making around school-sponsored student activities taking place outside. Creswell School District staff are monitoring the Air Quality Index data gathered and posted by Lane Regional Air Protection Agency (LRAPA) and doing regular visual inspections of outside air quality to determine outdoor activity levels for students, per the Oregon Health Authority’s Public Health Guidance for School Outdoor Activities During Wildfire Events.

Once school begins, decisions about outdoor activities, including sports, recess and PE will be made throughout the day, using the OHA guidelines mentioned above.

Our athletic directors, coaches, and support staff are communicating with families and students participating in OSAA activities regarding these health guidelines. School staff will notify families if any changes are made to games or practice times and schedules. Decisions regarding games will be made daily, as necessary.

2017-2018 Bus Routes

Did you know that school buses are the safest way to transport students?

According to the latest statistics from the National Highway and Traffic Administration, riding a school bus to school is 7 times safer than riding in a passenger vehicle.

In addition, a single school bus can eliminate as many as 36 cars, reducing congestion around a school and also reducing the carbon imprint on the community.

Our District’s Transportation Department has updated the bus routes and inclement weather routes.
