Seen and Heard Around Campus: Going Ga-Ga at Creswell Middle School

A new addition was recently introduced at Creswell Middle School’s Tiger Terrace.

A Ga-Ga Pit made its debut at Creswell Middle School thanks to Mr. DDA and funding from the school’s CATCH Program Grant. Mr. DDA spent three days constructing the pit and readying it for student use and play.

Mr. DDA teaches PE and Health and is already incorporating the pit into class time. Students can also use the Ga-Ga Pit during lunch period.

What is a Ga-Ga Pit?
Ga-Ga is a variant of dodgeball that is played in a ga-ga “pit”. The game combines dodging, striking, running, and jumping, with the objective of being the last person standing. Players hit the ball at each other with their hands, and are eliminated if the ball strikes them on or below the waist. – Wikipedia
