Tuesday, December 17 UPDATE:
Thank you for participating!
The Community Input Session originally scheduled for Wednesday, December 18 has been canceled.
.Dear Parents, Community Members and Students,
First, I would like to thank all of you who have participated in the Community Forums and the on-line Community Input Survey. As a result of our Community Forums and on-line surveys, we have received over 1000 responses from district staff, students, parents and community members. I would like to give a special ‘Shout out” to our Creswell students for their participation in the Need Assessment Surveys and contributing 50% of the total survey responses at over 590 completed surveys. The district staff participation was at 100%, totaling 20% for the final survey participation results and parens/community members make up the remaining 30% of the total survey participation with over 250 responses. At this point, we have received feedback and input from approximately 20% of the Creswell population. That’s super awesome!
At this point, we have only received one RSVP for the Community Forum scheduled tomorrow, 12/18/2019. Therefore, the event will be canceled.
I genuinely thank you all for your support and bid you a wonderful winter break.
Mike Johnson, Superintendent
We need your ideas to better support our students!
On December 18, 2019, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm, Superintendent Michael Johnson and Lane Education Service District Curriculum Specialist Carlos Sequeira are hosting our last community input session at the Creswell School District Conference Room, located at the Creslane Elementary School campus. If you have not been able to attend one of our previous community input sessions, please come join in!
The session is intended to hear about your needs, hopes, requests, and offers for student achievement and success. You all will have the opportunity to learn more about Oregon’s Student Success Act – a new law that provides an historic opportunity for our students, your family, and our educators. You will also provide input for the Creswell School District vision and strategic improvement plan for the next 5 years.
We need your input to help develop a plan to best meet the needs of our students and our community.
We will provide Spanish translation services, dinner and child care for the event. Dinner will be served from 5:30 – 6:00 in the Creslane Cafeteria. At 6:00, parents, students and community members will meet in the Conference Room for the input session, while the children participate in activities with the child care providers.
Improving education in Oregon will take all of us. Come add your voice to the conversation and help us develop a plan for our schools and district for the next three – five years!
Please RSVP number of adults and children attending with Marilyn Cruzan at: email@example.com or PH: 541 895-6011
