After four months of a comprehensive superintendent search and sifting through 25 highly-qualified candidates, the Creswell School District Board of Directors has chosen Michael Johnson to be its next superintendent. Mr. Johnson’s contract was approved at the June 5th board meeting. His proposed start date is set for July 1, 2019.
Mr. Johnson brings with him a wealth of administrative experiences with over 28 years in a variety of educational roles. Since 2013, he has been a middle school principal in the Eugene 4J school system. Prior to that he was an assistant high school principal for 10 years and an assistant middle school principal for 8 years, also within the Eugene 4J. Mr. Johnson received his administrative credentials from the Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR. His undergraduate and graduate degrees came from Eastern Oregon and Portland State Universities respectively.
