Creswell’s 5th Annual Earth Day Celebration
When: Tuesday, April 22
Where: Creswell’s Garden Lake Park (Link to Map)
Earth Day happenings will begin at 9am and conclude around 3pm.
Will we see you there?
For five years Creswell’s youth have come together at Garden Lake Park to learn about the natural world. From high-flying birds to microscopic particles and creatures, Earth Day explores the careful balance of our planet’s natural systems.
The celebration will feature some old favorites along with some new hats. Scientific exploration of water quality, stream velocity, along with environmental awareness through solar power presentations, recycled art creations, and alternative transportation demonstrations, will help Creswell’s youth understand the world around them while learning about ways that they can help protect our planet for generations to come. Participants will also be learning about planting trees, creative forms of recycling, animals large and small, and the power of human-powered machines all in the course of the day.
This year’s celebration marks Creswell’s 5th year as a Tree City USA. The Creswell Tree Board will, in keeping with tradition, mark the celebration of Arbor Day by planting several trees with the help of Creswell’s youth.
The Earth Day Celebrations would not be possible without the help of volunteers, business owners, and the generosity of the Creswell Community. Creswell School District is a proud sponsor of the celebration.
