From the District Office:  The district’s Budget Committee completed its work at this week’s meeting, approving the proposed budget, which will be forwarded to the School Board for action in June.

A Healthy Youth Clinic, housed at CMS, provides medical services to Creswell youth age 18 and under the first Thursday of each month.  Call PeaceHealth at 541-942-6614 to schedule an appointment.  There is no charge to children without health insurance.  Also, dental services are available through June 30 for uninsured children at the Lane Community College Dental Clinic at no cost to the family, thanks to funding from the Oregon Community Foundation.  Services include cleaning, x-rays, dental exam and restorative services. Call the LCC Dental Clinic at (541) 463-5206 for more information or to schedule an appointment for your school age children, ages 5-18.

From Creslane: The Lane Arts Council will be providing art instruction to Creslane’s fifth graders all next week, thanks to a special grant.

Creslane will be hosting a meeting for folks interested in a Relief Nursery at 1:00 on Thursday, May 23 in Modular #2.

From Creswell Middle School:  The annual 8th grade formal dinner is scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20.

The CMS Choir has a concert at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21.

From Creswell High School:  The annual CHS Awards Night, recognizing achievements of the Class of 2013 and presenting scholarships and other awards is set for Thursday, May 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commons.

Two parent representatives are needed to serve two-year terms on the CHS Site Council.  Meetings this year have been scheduled on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 3:30-4:30.  If interested, contact the CHS office at 541-895-6020.
