CATCH is a school-wide program that has demonstrated effectiveness in preventing obesity, and providing a foundation for a healthy lifestyle for kids and communities.

It is based on the CDC’s Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model which brings schools, families, and communities together to support youth in developing a healthy lifestyle.

We kicked off our CATCH week with daily announcements and a half day of activities for a healthy lifestyle such as our 7th graders hiking Mt. Pisgah. Our 6th and 8th graders rotated through several activities varying from yoga to dance to learning about outdoor recreation and hiking.  Watch for new pictures and announcements coming each month.
