A “community talk” with Barbara Coloroso – “Just Because It’s Not Wrong, Doesn’t Make It Right – Teaching Kids to Think and Act Ethically
Creswell School District is pleased to partner with Lonn D. Robertson DMD Family Dentistry to invite students, parents, staff, and community members for an evening talk with Barbara Coloroso titled, “Just because it’s not wrong, doesn’t make it right – Teaching kids to think at act ethically.” This event will be hosted in the Library at Creswell Middle School from 7:00-8:30 PM on Thursday, October 12th.
Ms. Coloroso will offer practical advice on how to use the stuff of everyday life to teach children to act with integrity, civility, and compassion. Beginning with the idea that it is in us to care, that we are born with an innate capacity for compassion, Ms. Coloroso shows professionals, educators, and parents how to nurture and guide children’s ethical lives from toddlerhood through the teen years using everyday situations at home, at school, in social settings, and in the world at large.
Ms. Coloroso is an internationally recognized speaker and author in the areas of parenting, teaching, school discipline, non-violent conflict resolution and reconciliatory justice. She is an educational consultant for school districts, the medical and business community, the criminal justice system and other educational associations around the world.
