Creslane Update 10/3

Good afternoon CES families. Below is information about a research study opportunity that our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade families can participate in this year. If you have any questions about the study on health behaviors please contact me at or at 541-895-6140.


The RENEW lab is looking for 8-10 year old children to participate in a study on health behaviors

Participating children will:

ü Complete questionnaires and interviews
ü Complete problem-solving tasks on the computer
ü Have their height, weight and body measured
ü Complete a DEXA scan, or an x-ray of your muscles and bones ü Walk on a treadmill for about 20 minutes
ü Eat breakfast and lunch

Participating parents/caregivers will:

ü Complete a few questionnaires and interviews ü Have their height and weight measured

Children and their parents can earn up to $290 for attending three study visits on the University of Oregon’s campus (we have free parking!). To be eligible, families must live at least 10 miles outside of Eugene, Oregon.

Hello parents, staff, and community members! Spirit Week is here!!

We as CHS Leadership students wanted to pass along some important information for upcoming activities and events.

Wednesday is loaded full of great opportunities for students to have fun! He-Man Volleyball starts at 6:30p.m. and a girls Dodgeball Tournament will follow after the He-Man Volleyball. Come out and support these activities in the main gym!

We are bringing back the Homecoming Parade! This Friday starting at 5:30pm floats will be rolling through town, including going down Oregon Ave. and passing by the park, so please come out show your support for CHS. The Football Game starts at 7:00pm and with the crowning of our Homecoming King and Queen happening at halftime. Please come to the football game and support our team and show your Bulldog Pride!

The night culminates with the Homecoming Dance in the CHS Commons from 9:30 – 11:30.

The format for the Homecoming Dance will include music and dancing, to the theme of “Hollywood Nights”. Semi-formal attire is recommended, and non-CHS student guests must be registered in the Main Office by Thursday, October 5th at 3:15 pm. The ticket price is $7 for a single ticket and $10 for a pair and can be purchased in the Main Office.
