$2593.55 Granted to Creswell School District.

With an eye on education and hoping to help where they can the Creswell Education Foundation recently approved several grants for the students of Creswell.

At Creslane Elementary the Creswell Education Foundation approved two grants.

To help in the purchasing of new reading material $230.00 was granted to Mrs. Bethany Cross. Mrs. Cross will be able to acquire new graphic novels for her 1st through 5th grade ELL students.

Teachers Mrs. Debbie Larsen and Mrs. Cheryl Clancey were awarded $112.00 for new take-home reading envelopes for their Kindergarten classes.

Creswell Middle School received two grants from the Creswell Education Foundation.

With the awarded $824.55 Ms. Nancy Buchanan will be able to provide new tri-fold presentation boards for all students participating in the upcoming All-School Science Fair.

Students of Ms. Lauri Thomas’s Survival Skills Class will be able to receive food handler’s cards with the $280.00 awarded grant.

At Creswell High School three grants were awarded by the Creswell Education Foundation.

Mrs. Laura Kingsbury’s Language Arts classes will benefit greatly from the new document camera provided with the $409.00 awarded grant

Greenhouse tools and workbooks for the community garden project at Creswell High School and Creslane will be able to be purcahsed with the $630.00 awarded grant. Mrs. Anne O’Connell, Mrs. Kelly Trant-Valley, and Ms. Dierdre Jackson were the applicants for this grant.

The Chess Club has three new digital chess clocks thanks to their award of $105.00. Mrs. Sue Bowers was the the applicant for this grant.
