2.The Community Alliance of Lane County, a 50 year old local non-profit organization promoting peace and social justice and Rotary Club of Eugene, whose mission includes promoting peace through service worldwide are looking for 7 LANE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS, with a commitment to Peace and Social Justice to receive $500 SCHOLARSHIP.

For over 15 years our country has been using war and military solutions to try stop terrorists, the so-called War on Terror. By now terrorists have not been defeated by war and yet millions of people are dead, injured and displaced by war.
Would an expanded, better financed military be more successful? Could US citizens and/or our government do something other than war that might work better? What have you done already or what do you hope to do in your life to contribute to creating a healthier, safer world?

PSU’s Online Incoming Freshmen Scholarship Application: Opening August 1, 2016
Incoming freshmen should also apply for scholarships on PSU’s Online Scholarship Application. Students are NOT automatically considered for these scholarships and must complete the Online Undergraduate Scholarship Application if they want to be considered for these awards. Please complete the online scholarship application by December 1.
Scholarships awarded through the Incoming Freshmen Scholarship Application include:
Presidential Scholarship – This is a tuition waiver award. It is awarded to incoming freshmen based on high school GPA and SAT/ACT scores. Funds are very limited. Award amount is PSU regular rate tuition for 12 cr per term, fall, winter, spring. It is renewable for up to four years. Full-time enrollment at PSU is required.
Undergraduate Laurels Scholarship – This is a tuition waiver award. It is awarded to incoming freshmen based on high school GPA and SAT/ACT scores. Award amount is $5000/year, renewable for up to four years. Full-time enrollment at PSU is required. Funds are very limited.

Its that time of year again! Fill out the FAFSA and submit it as soon as possible. FAFSA applications opened up OCTOBER 1st. There are early bird scholarships only available to those who submit early! Online applications must be submitted by no later than midnight Central Time, June 30, 2017.
