As the school year draws to a close, the Technology Department begins the prep work for summer technology maintenance across the district. Using funding secured from Fund 248 the Technology Procurement Proposal will be implemented. This procurement will bring about positive influences to our district staff and student population.
A brief synopsis of the procurement is as follows:
o The creation of a 10 station computer resource lab for distance learning and PLATO (credit recovery)
A complete report of the summer maintenance and implementation of the technology procurement will be included in your September Board Report.
Four of our summer student techs are graduating. We are in the process of hiring their replacements. The following was announced on Wednesday, June 2 at the High School:
“The School District Technology Department would like to recognize several seniors who have worked closely with the department for their service to the school district and the high school over the last four years.
While working in summer student tech jobs, they were dedicated, hard workers and produced quality results. Beyond their summer jobs, they have volunteered for the school district and the high school many times, helping the technology department in a wide variety of ways to maintain our information systems and helping to ensure a better experience for our users.
These seniors are Cameron England, Andy Kircharr and Zach Robertson, as well as Geoff Brahman, who started working with the Technology Department last year.
Joel Higdon and Bryan Cruzan from the Technology Department wish them good luck after graduation.”
