To our Key Communicators,

Last night, with great regret and much soul-searching, I officially resigned my position as Superintendent of the Creswell School District and will be retiring as of February 1, 2011.  I am not in a position to return to the district as previously planned due to the need to provide support and care for my husband who continues to courageously battle stage four lung cancer. 

I will miss you all so much; it has been a true privilege to work with such a talented and dedicated team of students, staff, parents, and community members.   From my very first day in Creswell, I felt a wonderful sense of acceptance and cooperation.  The Creswell School Board, parents, students, teachers, staff, administrative team, and the entire community demonstrates daily what a district can achieve when everyone is committed to student learning. I am sad that I will not be able complete my part in reaching the goals we set for our district. But I am confident you will all work together to keep those high expectations in sight.

Both my husband, Dale, and I will always consider Creswell a home away from home and a community filled with friends.  Thank you for your care and expressions of concern for me and my family.  We hope to see many of you on February 9^th to remember and celebrate our time together; more details to follow.
