Text Box: Purpose and Charge
 
The LMC:
 
· Is a mechanism for dialogue and a vehicle to discuss issues of mutual concern to staff and administration 
 
· Does not have the authority to negotiate collective bargaining contract language or to in any way displace the collective bargaining agreement 
 
· Cannot hear matters that should be resolved through the grievance procedure.
 
· May create subcommittees to explore important issues more deeply 
 
Who can bring an issue to the 
Labor Management Committee: 
 
· Any employee(s) represented by the Creswell Education Association (CEA)
 
· Any member of management 
 
How do I bring an issue to the Labor Management Committee :
 
· Any parties listed may individually or as a group contact a Labor Management Committee member to discuss the    issue.
 
· If the issue is appropriate for the Labor Management    Committee, the issue must be submitted in writing.
 
· Labor Management will keep staff informed on the progress of the issue(s)  before the committee
