IAQ Coordinator


The superintendent will appoint [himself/herself,] [the facilities manager,] [the business officer] as the IAQ Coordinator.[This person] [These people] will be in charge of the implementation of the district IAQ Management Plan.The IAQ Coordinator will also be responsible for making periodic reports to the superintendent which detail the successes of the plan and the areas that still need improvement.


IAQ Committee


The superintendent will appoint members of the district staff to the district IAQ committee.The committee will include the IAQ Coordinator, representatives from district administrative staff, classified staff and licensed staff.The superintendent will also ask members of the public such as parents, students, community leaders and health officials to join the committee.


The IAQ committee will be responsible for developing an IAQ Management Plan.This plan will consider methods of improving IAQ in district facilities with a focus on classrooms, education about IAQ issue and solutions to IAQ problems.The process for reporting IAQ problems and a time line for resolution of the problems will be set forth in the plan.The committee will also design a process for annual review of the IAQ Management Plan.




Staff and student training will be provided on the elements of the IAQ Management Plan in a manner to be determined by the committee.In the interest of cost, such training may be offered via online instruction through the districtís website.
